I would say its long overdue...especially considering we have had stuff in boxes for just about a month (having thought we were moving May 30th). So, this weekend is it! Yup. Moving truck comes Monday morning to move all of the big stuff, but outside of that...Mark plans on hauling boxes over the weekend. I believe we are both still in denial of the move...it just seems like we have waited for so long and now the time is finally here. Not sure how we are going to swing it with a 2 year old hanging on our legs and a 3 week old baby...good thing the older kids are so helpful!
We will be sure to share some photos when we are in and settled...until then I am sure you will see some delays in blogging...
Off to PACK! Ugh.

3 weeks.
THREE WEEKS? What?
It has been 3 entire weeks since baby miss Isla entered our lives. Everything about her is perfect (well in my very bias eyes). Our life is adjusting, although it is no where near settling down. We are hoping to move this coming weekend...and once we are unpacked from that...I may actually consider our lives to be somewhat settled.
As for our little lady...she is a super eater, good sleeper and all around happy baby. She tends to have a fussy time in the morning...much better then the middle of the night if you ask me! As i type this she is conked out on my lap...ha. Simon is out on the deck enjoying what seems to be summer weather. Daddy is golfing, the kids are at their Mom's and well...I am taking these 2 minutes of peace to post some photos of the wee missy...
ENJOY!

happy fathers day
In addition to our last post...we just want to send out a Happy Fathers Day to a very special daddy...OURS! Four kids and this man is still around...ha. We must be doing something right!
LOVE YOUR BUNCH OF MONKEYS
LOVE YOUR BUNCH OF MONKEYS
never enough hours in the day.
As you can tell from my "lack" of posting, I am running short on time these days. What time I do get on the computer has been spent working on editing photos and keeping up with emails. I know that I am missing my Haley Thursday & Trevor Friday's but the littlest person of the family has yet to give anyone an update and well...she is tiny and demanding, so I am siding with her for the time being. ha.
Isla was 2 weeks this past Tuesday...yes time goes that fast! At her one week appointment, she was back up to her birth weight which is mighty quick for a little one. Super eater! The doc was very happy with everything and insisted that mommy just "keep doing whatever she is doing". I of course could not believe that this girl was so "hefty" hehe...as she only eats for about 10 minutes and usually every 3 plus hours. You go girl!
At our 2 week appointment...Isla was a whopping 8lbs 6ozs & 22inches long. Even her head made a jump on the growth chart. So again, despite the fact that she likes to "spit up" like her brother did...(or power puke as I call it). She is doing fantastic and is a happy, healthy and beautiful little lady. We could not be more pleased...
Now if you got through that...BRAVO! What you really want is below...

thanks kids.
Yes I know it is now friday...which means I have missed Haley Thursday for the second week in a row and I should now be typing about Trevor...sigh...some start to this idea! Well...I am going to write about them both and that should make up for it.
Not much to report for either of them, so instead I would like to say thanks to them both! Lately things have been tough on me (having a baby does crazy things to a girl) and well...despite being "KIDS" hehe...they have been really awesome and understanding. I write this as they have just completed cleaning the washrooms, floors and are off to recycle our bottles. So, simply because I do not say it enough...
THANK YOU TREVOR & HALEY for all that you do. You are amazing kids and incredible older siblings!
LOVE YOU!

10 days and counting...
The move is fast approaching...actually...very fast approaching! It seems that pregnancy and child birth has caused me to lose my mind and any track of time that I may have previously had. I have a feeling that post it notes are set to become my new best friend!
We are set to move on the 14th...yes that is in TEN DAYS! WHAT? The house has barely been touched, never mind packed and although I am not usually excited for packing...I am not happy to be sitting around watching it happen either. Ah the guilt. Much of this move is going to fall on Mark's shoulders...poor guy.
So the next few weeks might be a little quite on the posting front. I will try and get some new photos of the fam up as soon as I can...
Tomorrow is Thursday...Haley day...will have to have a little chat with her tonight and see what is going on in her world!

getting settled
It is fantastic to be home...although a little busy and hard for the mama to sit around. Its just not my personality! Seems that I have a need to control things? WHAT? Who would have thought...
Isla had the nurse over today for our first home visit and we are happy to report that this is one healthy little lady. Back up to pretty much her birth weight (which is fantastic in the world of babies). She is an eating machine and sleeps like a dream! Simon is pretty curious about his sister and quickly changes from holding her to wondering how she would like a poke in the eye! ha. Overall he is doing great with her though. Of course Trevor & Haley could hold her all day everyday but we try to get her in her bassinet for some downtime.
Gamma is here for a few weeks and I dont think i can begin to express how thankful I am for that. The help is fantastic and although Simon is currently trying to latch on to me (at times LITERALLY), I know he will get in the swing of things. Unc Chris leaves today and I dont think he is too happy about it. I keep telling them to move here...hehehe...
A few photos of course...I am still not very mobile so I am hoping that Michele will be over to take more and include the fam...
