lovin' the dada

Its a well known fact that this young man would easily give me up for an entire day if it meant only 10 minutes with his dada. He is all about the boy time! First words to come out of his mouth in the morning generally go a little something like this...

mama: morning simon
simon: dada
mama: dada's at work
simon: dada...golf ball
mama: dada's not here
simon: hockey, baseball...dada

Hmmm...wonder what he dreams about? Yes, he is all boy...sports, messes, sports & daddy! I love it! As I type this, he is handing me a hockey stick and pulling out his net. ha.

On a side note, we have had 2 pee's on the potty this morning...I am one proud mama.

How proud am I of this little man today? VERY! He came rushing in to grab me while I applied my make-up this morning. What could be so urgent? What did he break was the first thing that came to my mind. Can you blame me? He is 110% B O Y! Mommy had it all wrong though...

mama: what is it simon?
simon: pee pee!
mama: did you go pee pee in your diaper?
simon: pee pee! pee pee! pee pee!

As you can see, he is a boy of few words! ha. So I took off the diaper and put him up on the toilet figuring he was just trying to get some attention and that it wouldnt last long since I did not have a potty seat on and he was going to be holding on for dear life. Well...he sat, and sat and then...

PEE PEE!!! Mama should really listen a little more often. hehe. This would be our first official pee pee on the potty so of course I was ultra excited...as was Si. Safe to say this baby is sure growing up fast...

Young boy with plastic (but painful when swung at full speed) golf club and a mama with her camera out...hmmm...whose idea was this? We are all about attacking the camera these days and in this moment, someone felt they really needed to make a point! Thought I would share the two images that I actually got. Which you will of course find below.

On another note...we have family in town which always rocks. Dad & Riley are here visiting which is fantastic! Simon is totally loving having them here and luckily enough for us they will be staying til the weekend. Upon their departure...we will be welcoming Gamma! How lucky are we?

the house

We are MOVING! Eventually. Somehow we got ourselves into this wonderful mess of building a new home. Dont get me wrong, I cannot wait for the final result...its getting there that is the stressful part. Not only are we selling our current home and having a baby (which I might add is due 3 days before our move date), but we are building what I would easily classify as our dream home!

This home is something I would have never expected and I am so grateful that we are going to be able to raise our growing family here. Life is too good...

I think it is time to research ways to get a 22 1/2 month old (yes I am holding on to each day before TWO), to not coming running at the camera. It really is adorable, but sure does limit what I am able to capture of him. Ah well...if i only get one that I love, I am a happy mama.

better late then never

We have had some "blogging delays" lately, but I do believe that we are back on track. Our house was hit with a pretty nasty virus and it has just been the past few days that I would say we are really BETTER! We do hope that everyone we know is able to avoid this one. In nearly 2 years it was the first time I needed Mark to stay home as I was not able to care for our little man...however once it hit the two of them we were really in trouble!

Wanted to share a photo of Si that we have not seen since he was a tiny baby. We love this boy and accept that he is not a cuddle bug...but check out what happens when he gets sick (he is on daddy's chest). So happy my poor baby is all better...

the sickies

We have all been under the weather for a week or so now. First it hit the mama, then the dada and although we had hoped we could pass on sharing it with the wee man of the house...even he didnt get off that lucky! It was a nasty virus and is still hanging around (although no longer leaving us tied to the bed).

Lets hope this week puts us back to normal...I do have a sick little man photo to share, just need to get it of the camera (hopefully tomorrow).

sweeten the pot

As you will find below...I have moved the "the little game" post up so that you can take another peek. We only got a couple of guesses, which is funny as everyone is always trying to guess in person! ha. I assume no one wants to put it on paper? Hey...no one is wrong, as we love all of these names. We just happen to have "selected" one of each!

So I thought...if we can get to at least 10 comments...I will award the winner a little prize! Maybe that will make it a touch more fun. If we happen to come to a tie...I will come up with a tie breaker question of some sort.

Sorry for the few people who actually KNOW...but please dont go ruining it for everyone else. You can always throw something out there though, I am not about to say whether or not you are speaking fact or fiction! Of course, you cant win my little prize though!

a little game

I have been meaning to post this, and since I am typing away...here it goes.
