a few more photos...

simply because I cannot help myself! hope that we are able to get some at home newborn shots this week...of course we will be sharing...

introducing...isla hanna claire bowland

Isla Hanna Claire Bowland was born May 27th via scheduled c-section. She arrived into the world at 8:14am, and was just perfect.

7lbs 13ozs & 21 inches long

We arrived home from the hospital today and are doing great. Mom is a bit sore and will be for a few weeks. Isla is an eating machine and is a very content little lady.

As for the little miss's name...

Isla - loved it! For those who are wondering...it is pronounced EYE-LA

Hanna - named for Marks mother (Johanna)

Claire - named for my grandmother (Clara) who passed away a few years ago

We are excited to be home and enjoying the sunshine. Simon is loving his little sister (for the most part). Trevor & Haley could not be more thrilled. They adore her! I am not sure what photos everyone has seen...but we will share a few...

our very own pre-teen

Well it had to hit at some point right? A pre-teen. Yikes! I cannot believe that we have our very own living under this roof...hehehe...

Trevor's first blog day...YAY! Its a little late, but I am trying (pat on back)! Hopefully I will be able to get the kids involved sometime soon and they can at least tell things from their perspective! Anyway...

Trev is busy. Busy being a middle schooler...getting cooler by the minute and yes that of course means we are becoming LESS cool. ha. I have tricks up my sleeve though, we shall remain cool for years to come!

He is very much enjoying french immersion and doing fantastically (is that a word?) at it! Watching him take so much pride in school and his work is very rewarding for all of us. I remember not long ago a boy who didnt even want to read books because he struggled with not reading what HE wanted. Yup, such a boy.

Baseball is the big sport these days. Pro baseball on TV, practices, chucking the ball at his little brother and of course game days. Anyway he can get a little baseball in and that boy is smiling! He loves the game and well...it loves him because he sure is great at it. Currently he is spending much of his time behind the plate as a back catcher and when he is not doing that, he tends to throw some pitches. Our very own superstar in the making. Hopefully he will remember us when he makes it big time.

We will leave it at that for this week...photos to follow...I cant seem the locate the ones I want...hmmm...

miss happy haley

Her first official blog day...YAY HALEY!

What is going on in this little ladies world? Well...lots. She is very excited about the upcoming arrival of her newest sibling. Of course hoping that she gets a little sister (who can blame her) as she really wants to dress her in pretty dresses! hehe. I hope for her that a little lady arrives as well so that we can balance the numbers around here. hehe.

Haley is growing into quite the young lady. This year she will be 10 (so hard to believe...double digits). She is already planning her party...yup, she sure loves to think ahead and get things arranged. I love it, cracks me up as I am much that way and notice it even more when I see her doing it. She has had a few horseback riding lessons and I wouldn't be surprised if a HORSE made it to the top of her birthday wish list. Hey, you will never know if you dont ask! I think we might have to hold out on that one for a few years though. I am sure she will understand.

With summer fast approaching, she already has made many plans to spend as much time in the water and at the beach as she can. Every time the sun pops out we hear the request "can we go to the beach"? I am hoping that this weekend is beautiful so that she can get some time in the lake (yes she will go in although it is FREEZING)!

So that is all things Haley this week...I am sure we will have much more to write about next week. Maybe I will let her blog about herself...I bet she would LOVE that. Cannot leave you without a photo...

something new.

As you scan through the blog, I am sure everyone notices a common theme...we have a lot of "Simon" talk on here. Mainly because he is changing each and every single day...and of course always gives me some silly little thing to write about. That and the fact that our older 2 are not so "camera friendly" these days. hehe.

Sooooo...I have decided to assign each of the other children...a blogging day. It will be a day where I chat about them and what is going on in their lives. Hopefully I will have the chance to include photos now and then...

Miss Haley will be Thursdays
Pre-teen Trevor will be Fridays

This way I can ensure that everyone is keeping up to date on the older brats as well. Things are likely to slow down a little as the baby is set to arrive in less then 10 days! I am sure that it will be all things baby around here for a while...but I am trying...

I will end this with a little Trevor & Haley update. School is coming to an end and summer is arriving...can you imagine the excitement? They are of course excited to be getting back into Penticton and I am sure that much of the summer will be spent playing with neighborhood friends. As for today, they are off to their Mom's house and then to Horseback Riding! Of course, they are very excited. Haley has been for a lesson already and Trevor liked the looks of things, so he figured he would give it a try. We will let you know how it goes...

because she is simply beautiful

Wanted to share a photo taken by Michele at Simon's birthday party...

Can you believe how quickly our little girl is turning into a beautiful little lady??

Added one of Haley & her cousin as well...I love it.
